Hello and welcome! We’re Mya + Hector, founders of The Florida Elopement Collective. We are not a national booking platform or an outsourced coordination service. We are a Florida-based team that has lived, worked, and built relationships here for decades. When you choose us, you are working directly with experienced local professionals who understand the venues, the marriage license process, and the logistical realities of getting married in Florida.
This distinction is important. Many companies operate remotely, coordinating ceremonies from outside the state without firsthand knowledge of locations or direct relationships with venues. Our approach is different. We are physically present in Florida, we communicate directly with venue teams, and we guide every ceremony with the depth of experience that only comes from doing this work locally for over twenty years.
Our story began in 2004 with a small wedding planning company and a clear purpose: make getting married easy. In those early years, Mya officiated intimate seaside ceremonies while Hector documented each moment behind the lens. What began as a hands-on, local service evolved into a trusted, all-inclusive elopement experience — now supported by a carefully selected team of professional officiants and photographers serving couples throughout Florida.
Today, The Florida Elopement Collective brings the same structure, professionalism, and calm coordination we became known for in Central Florida to cities across the state. Because of our long-standing presence here, we understand the nuances of each location — from historic courtyards and coastal venues to private estates and tropical gardens — allowing us to guide our couples with confidence and clarity.

Back in 2004, when we first embarked on this journey, I, Mya, officiated all our ceremonies. And you know what? Every once in a while, I still step into that role, especially for ceremonies held outside the Orlando and Cocoa Beach areas.
